Welcome to the NBA Macro Minute! This is a short article focused on macro environments and trending players. The goal here is to identify easy spots to focus or remove from slates and make DFS a bit easier.

Macro NBA Defensive Stats
- ATL (surprisingly) leads the slate in FPPM allowed at 1.05, CHI in second at 1.03
- NYK is the hardest matchup at .90, BOS close behind at .93
- Three teams are allowing .50+ points per minute: ATL, CHI, and SAS
Macro NBA Combo Stats
- The best game environment is ATL/SAS by both FPPM combined (1.04) and points scored (242.80)
- The worst is NYK/PHI with red numbers across the board
- CLE/CHI is the best spot for 3PA volume by a good amount
Short slate with NYK/PHI a clear avoid from a stacking standpoint, though some of their players could be valuable as one offs. ATL/SAS is the main focus here and where you should likely find most of your plug and play pieces.
Trending Players
Why is Ware $4,700? That’s a really bad pricing for someone with his ceiling. Vassell and Walsh have really nice adjusted ceilings for a $5kish price as well, as this slate shapes up to be about midranged values instead of punts.
