Macro NBA Defensive Stats

NBA Macro def

  • WAS leads the slate with 1.07 fantasy points per minute allowed, with UTA close behind at 1.06
  • HOU is the lowest at .90, tied with NYK and just below OKC at .91
  • A whole lot of midrange matchups between the bookends tonight

Macro NBA Combo Stats

NBA Macro combo

  • The best matchup will also have the most ownership, SAS/WAS at 1.05 FPPM combined
  • The worst matchup by a good amount is IND/NYK at .93
  • The highest octane spot is actually DEN/ORL with the teams games each averaging nearly 250 points per game

There are actually a lot of really strong spots tonight. I don’t think it’s vital to focus on either of SAS/WAS or LAL/UTA even though they are the best by the numbers. DEN/ORL baselines are super strong as a focus spot and BKN/MIA offers a really high pace matchup with a lot of peripheral scoring opportunities. Only real avoids are NOP/HOU, OKC/LAC, and IND/NYK which are all easy to just remove from the slate for the most part.

Trending Players

NBA Macro trending

Massive amount of 7+ values tonight and a lot of guys that project well for the cost. As a general rule I usually cross out dudes who project for less than 20 fantasy points, no matter the cost, but that still leaves us with a bunch of high 4k options for value along with some 7k dudes who have ceilings in the 50s. Really strong slate for differentiation!

If you want to research these dudes yourself, go over to the gamelogs tool and look into their rotations and performances!

Thanks for reading, go grab some trophies.
