Welcome to the NBA Macro Minute! This is a short article focused on macro environments and trending players. The goal here is to identify easy spots to focus or remove from slates and make DFS a bit easier.

Macro NBA Defensive Stats
- UTA leads the slate with 1.07 fantasy points per minute allowed
- HOU is the lowest at .89, a seriously low number
- MIA is allowing both the most shots and rebounds per minute
Macro NBA Combo Stats
- The best matchup on the board is UTA/DAL at a combined FPPM allowed of 1.03
- Both BOS/DET and DEN/HOU sit at .94 combined FPPM
- There’s a lot of mixed matchups
Although there are some lackluster numbers here, I think every game has something worth playing for. UTA/DAL is the best game environment but likely not as deserving of heavy ownership as it would be on other slates. MIA/TOR is strong in it’s own right from a pace perspective and BOS/DET has the highest rate of 3PA per minute. DEN is obviously a fucking wagon which neutralizes the HOU defensive stuff a bit. I think you can pick your poison here.
Trending Players
There are very few 7+ value players tonight, I had to expand the screenshot a bit. Of the ones that we have, Ryan Nembhard is probably the most appealing (and will have the most ownership) which Kevin Love is probably the shakiest. Jordan Walsh is a fellow bald man of glory and has a real ceiling at his pricetag as well.
