Welcome to the NBA Macro Minute! This is a short article focused on macro environments and trending players. The goal here is to identify easy spots to focus or remove from slates and make DFS a bit easier.

Macro NBA Defensive Stats

- Washington gives up the most fantasy points per minute at 1.08 in the recent sample
- Toronto gives up the least at .93
- The Pelicans give up the most FG3A per minute at .18, though the points per minute are in line
Macro NBA Combo Stats

- Best game environment is PHI/WAS at 1.04 combined FPPM
- Worst game environment is BOS/NYK at .95 FPPM (though there is a caveat there)
- Will the Raptors slow down POR or will the Trailblazers speed things up?
Pretty easy to just default into the PHI/WAS game, and that’s fine, but I am intrigued by BOS/NYK. While it’s a bad game environment in terms of FPPM it has some really strong combined FG3A numbers, and that can lead to a ceiling shootout spot. We see something similar with SAS/MEM and have better FPPM numbers as well, but I wanted to point out that NYK/BOS is higher upside than the FPPM stuff shows.
Trending Players

- Why the fuck is Marvin Bagley Thirty Six Hundred dollars
- Neemis Queta super interesting as a midranged option
- Zach Edey has a legit ceiling
Marvin Bagley III going to be underowned at 85% in GPPs tonight. I have a lot of interest in double C builds just based on the numbers above, but we definitely need to dig into the matchups a bit more.
If you want to research these dudes yourself, go over to the gamelogs tool and look into their rotations and performances!
