Welcome to the NBA Macro Minute! This is a short article focused on macro environments and trending players. The goal here is to identify easy spots to focus or remove from slates and make DFS a bit easier.

Macro NBA Defensive Stats

- Miami is allowing the most fantasy points per minute as well as giving up the most field goal attempts per minute of any team on the slate.
- DET and CHA are allowing the least FPPM of any teams playing tonight at 0.93 and 0.94 respectively.
- MIL/WAS and MIA/CHI are two of the top game environments.
Macro NBA Combo Stats

- OKC/MIN is an interesting spot for GPPs and a Shai/Ant correlation build is definitely in consideration.
- While there is some value in the BKN/DEN game you should limit you overall exposure to that game.
- CHA does benefit from how bad DAL has been so taking a shot on Miller or Knuepple makes sense. You can also feel better about chasing the Diabate ceiling game.
Trending Players

Several Wizards show up near the top the trending ceiling table as well as some Heat value. The Wizards guys are pretty volatile but come with slightly higher ceilings than the Heat value.
If you want to research these dudes yourself, go over to the gamelogs tool and look into their rotations and performances!
Portfolio Analysis Exposures

When you run 1,000 lineups into the portfolio manager and do some filtering, you end up with the above results. Some notes:
- Pretty insane edge on MPJ if he’s only going to be 10ish% owned.
- Chalk options like Portis, Sheppard, and Schroder aren’t inherently bad, but based on the negative edge you’ll want to balance that ownership in you lineups.
- As mentioned earlier, multiple Nets guys show up but be mindful about the overall negative game environment.
Thanks for reading, go grab some trophies.
